Effect of Plant Growth Regulators on Growth, Flowering, Yield and Vaselife of Chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflora) under Prayagraj Agro Climatic Conditions

The present investigation entitled “Effect of plant growth regulators on growth, flowering, yield and vaselife chrysanthemum under Prayagraj agro climatic conditions”, was carried out during August to December, 2022, in Department Horticulture, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University Agriculture, Technology Sciences, Prayagraj. experiment conducted Randomized Block Design with ten treatment combinations, application three Brassenosteroid(BA), Triacontanol(TRIA) Gibberellic acid(GA3) each 50ppm, 100ppm 150ppm, which replicated thrice. It concluded that the rendered their significant effect almost all flowering characters chrysanthemum. treatment, T9- GA3@150ppm found superior terms height (72.47cm), spread(35.33cm), number branches(11.67), leaf length(9.03cm), days taken for first flower bud initiation(66.30 days), 50% flowering(113.43 flowers per (48.53), diameter(10.20cm), stalk length(13.58cm), duration days(66 plant(206.67g), hectare(229.63q), vase life flower(16.33 days). Among different treatments highest Gross return is 918,520Rs/ha, Net 620,343.35Rs/ha, benefit cost ratio 3.08 obtained from T9-GA3@150ppm.
